Yesterday evening I have seen some opening moves by Rebel XP (white): 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 e6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 Nc6 6.Ndb5 d6 7.Bf4 e5 8.Bg5 a6 And now in this well known position - the basic position - from Sweshnikov B33, Rebel started to think. This is strange to me. Why does Rebel not recognize the transposition? Rebel in fact would have book moves if this position would have been reached by 1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 e5 6.Ndb5 d6 7.Bg5 a6 (one move earlier). Ed, some explanation?
