6-man files with pawns (and a few without) are greater than 2 gigabytes.  This
breaks
any library that uses signed integers for file offset pointers, such as normal C
libs.

He is now breaking these files up into 2 gig chunks so that they will be
compatible
with all operating systems and compiler libraries, which will avoid lots of
questions
about why things don't work right here and there...
