I read this offer of yours, but I didn't take you up on it because I assumed
that it only entailed the adaptation of the Visual Basic script for those not
computer literate enough to do it themselves. Do you do more than this?

The best "legal" solution would be to write a utility "getOPK.exe" which would
grab the OPK without Chessmaster even being started. (The Visual Basic script
starts the full Chessmaster program, of course).

The best "illegal" solution would be to reverse engineer TheKing.exe and patch
it to always run with the same OPK number. This would be a great help to people
like me who only intend to run TheKing within other GUIs, but it would also help
people distribute the engine illegally.

A "reasonable" solution would be for the next version of Chessmaster to only
request a new OPK number once a month. Even Chessbase doesn't ask for the
original CDs every day.
