Just take any (!) testposition that need about 15 min to solve it. write down the times of both GUI. The difference is approximately 6% in fovor 4 the classic GUI. The Engine is the same but the GUI is eating performance. Bye Ingo PS: If you want to express it in money it is the difference between a top prized P4 or Athlon and one model below that (~100 - 80 € or $) Not checked by myself but someone told me the speed difference for UCI engines in the Shredder Classic or Arena and CB-GUI is even worse.
