Subject: Interesting Silman tests

At www.jeremysilman.com i found some tactical and positional tests. I tried test
1 (10 exercises) on myself and some chessprograms.I gave the programs 3min per
exercise on my slow AMD 400mhz machine.Best tactical was Rebel Century 3 28
tactical and 9 positional points, and positional Shredder 7 25 and 11
points.Only these two programs could solve exercise nr 1 in 3 minutes.Fritz
6,Hiarcs 8 and Gambit Tiger 2.0 failed. No one of the programs could solve
exercise 10 in 3 minutes.Thats a bit disappointing because 1 and 10 are both
tactical, and i solved both in 5 minutes. Exercise 7 which also is tactical was
only solved by Rebel Century 3.
