Ferret-Crafty. Smooth play by Ferret.

Can't decide.

In previous CCTs it seems like there has always been at least one jaw-dropper,
but this year nothing comes to mind.

Again, I might vote for Ferret-Crafty. Ferret's 22. Nxg5! gave up a knight for
2 pawns in return for pressure against black's king and a nice f5
knight-outpost. It's fair to call this a positional sac, since Ferret didn't
recoup any material until 13 moves later.

In one of the final rounds, Schroer mentioned that Amateur(?) might have played
a legitimate TN, but I can't recall the details.

The author of Chezzz seemed very unhappy about 2 games where Chezzz blew winning
endgame positions. Monsoon-Chezzz was one of them.

Monsoon-Comet was an epic battle. Comet's 2 queens stood by and watched while
Monsoon's Queen and rooked chased Comet's king all over the board. A super
tense game that finally ended in a draw.

Here's where the fun started. Monsoon made 20 consecutive checks from this
position:

"Biggest upset" would be a good one, but I don't think there were any huge ones.
I just scanned the final crosstable quickly, and didn't see anything glaring,
at least among the top programs.

Overperformer Award:
Monsoon, although many people already knew it was very strong.

Underperformer Award:
Diep, and I'm sure Vincent will agree.

Worst theoretical novelty:

6...Rb8 in Ruffian-Diep. Either a bug in Vincent's book building code, or
garbage in the PGN he used to generate it.
