How people can sleep while their engine is playing in a tournament is beyond me
(same goes for eating or watching TV ;) but I guess after many tournaments it's
different. :)

While this is a good idea in theory, I fear it would reduce the number of
participants, because it's much harder to commit to two full weekends, as
opposed to one, especially for people with family.

But this would be terrible for the spectators. (and programmers) Isn't it great
fun that all these engine authors are online at the same time and
discuss/speculate about their games/engines? I think it's fantastic!
