As it happens I wrote my first movegenerator in C++ and later converted it to C#. The C# kompiler has some extra knowledge regarding the usage of array indexes, but it can't grantee that bounds are keept. As a matter of fact I spent quite a few hours debugging the converted move gen to get rid of the array out of bounds exceptions that it had. C# only garantees that if an array out of bounds occurs it will be caught during runtime. Regards Albert Bertilsson Author of #Chess (www.albert.nu/programs/sharpchess)
