Impossible to guess.  In 1983, we were searching about 100K nodes per second,
current
crafty is searching 2.4M nodes per second.  It wouldn't be much of a contest.
However,
1994 Cray Blitz, on 1995 hardware (A Cray T90 with 32 processors) searched at
about
7M nodes per second, so I would suspect Cray Blitz would win a contest if it
used the
fastest Cray available...

I played a match about a year and a half (or maybe 2) years ago, using my quad
700 vs
a T90, and Cray Blitz won easily.  You can find mention of this in the CCC
archives.  I
think the result was something like 7-3 but I am not certain.
