I think the Chessmaster 9000 would be good for something like this. The ratings go way down to 200 and below, not sure how that is accomplished in terms of programming. I too am involved in a chess club (in New Jersey) and the real young players are often rated about 600-700 elo, and have their school tournaments. These kids may be like 8 to 10 years old. I have sometimes thought the ratings are less accurate on the low end because more attention is paid to higher ratings. Mark
