Hello, The Tablebase hits in a search slow down the KNPS to under 300 and the Hard disk Light goes nuts. I have 8MB set for the TB cache and 512MB of PC2400 on a P4 2.8Ghz not a slow comp by any stretch of the imagination but i wonder why am i having the same problem as i did before? is the cache set to high in fritz? Do I need a drive with 8MB of Cache? they have ones with 16MB i've seen Do I need faster transfer rates? ATA 133? SATA? currently it's either ATA 66 or 100 Do I need faster seek time? it's around 8 or 9 ms Do i just need SCSI? that's expensive Normal KN in the middlegame is 1Million and it should be higher than that in the ending. I am using the .emd files from Prof. Hyatt's FTP. Thankyou
