Subject: Dumb computer question

This may be a dumb question, but I don't know how to do this. From what I
understand, you can link two computers together with a printer cable. The reason
I want to do this is I have an old computer I want to put Crafty on, but the
floppy doesn't work so I can't get everything over. I heard that you can
transfer files via the printer cable between two computers. Is this true and if
so how? ANY help with this is greatly appreciated. Didn't know where else to ask
this question. Thanks very much go for any info provided.
