Thanks very much go for any info provided. I'm not going to answer your question, but I'll give you an idea. You can get a wireless network for not too much money these days, and you can use this to get DSL or modem internet (as well as LAN) all over your entire house. The one I have also allows you to plug in directly, but in order to do that the computers have to be within network cord distance of the hub. I'll never be without something like this again, it's very convenient. bruce
