He should get the floppy fixed or replaced, but I guess he just doesn't want to put money into an old computer, but he probably could fix it himself. He probably just needs to clean the floppy drive and/or reseat the cables. This fixes it 90% of the time. Alternatively, he could upgrade his new computer with a cd burner. Another idea is to email it to a friend who has a cd burner. The friend would download crafty from the interent, then make a cd for him and he could pick it up from him.
