Go up one level in this thread

thank you for your response,steve.
the november upgrade of '02 is not a standard iup file. that is because it is
not official. the filewas sent in cbz chessbase encrypted format which, when
unlocked with a password will become usable as an iup.
does any one here have familiarity with the windows blanking problem in
chessbase when using the replace- file command to chessbase8 under windows XP
for which I am seeking assistance.
I still use cb8 for alot of db techniques, and i overlook all bugs that are
non-fatal, like in training mode when rooks turn into kings on the board
sometimes, but this new problem to me is frustrating, especialy after my recent
crashes from shredder7 and then gratefully recieving a solution only from this
board directly and a slow response from hambourg.
I will hopefully relay on the good judgements of my friends here to search for a
solution.- marc
