playchess.com Saturday, Jan 25: Our server is hosted in the Frankfurt datacentre of Verio, which is currently under attack. Sorry for the inconvenience. Dear Customer, At around 6am GMT (7am CET), the Verio NOC became aware of loss of connectivity to the datacentres, due to what appears to be a Distributed Denial of Service Attack on both facilities. The Verio NOC (Network Operations Centre) are attempting to block the attack by filtering packets on the backbone. We appreciate your patience while we work through this issue.
