Hi all, In my spare time I like to design new board games, and it would be a great pleasure for me to share my latest idea with you all and ask, respectfully, for any feedback. Is it a good idea, can you suggest any modifications ? The game takes place on a large playing board. You can mine for iron ore and concrete agregates; build factories, iron ore smelters, tech centres and all that stuff. The idea is to produce lots of concrete and steel reinforcement bars. Then you must design a lid, build the lid, and put the lid on the volcano !! That's going to be the name of the game: "Put The Lid On The Volcano !!!" And it's a very active volcano !! When you put on the lid, an electronic timer starts, and after 60 seconds the lid all blows off again !! Bang !! What fun !! During this 60 seconds the real game gets going. You gotta run round and make alliances and try and ban the other players. That's how you win !! They're all gone and only you is left !! You can get tokens and lucky cards. There's the Priest token. This doesn't say much but is very useful for banning. And the Professor token. This says much too much and is a bit of a liability. Try and pass it on to another player quick. If you have a tech centre you can make data. Data, as we all know, is completely neutral; but very useful for attack purposes. The Prussian token will increase the neutral data output of your tech centre four-fold !! Make sure you have a Prussian token. There's also a Moderator token. This is quite powerful for banning, but unfortunately possession of the moderator token means that you've lost the game. You only find this out at the end though. Steve Blatchford
