In the past, installing the Fritz 7 upgrade into the Fritz 6 GUI not only upgraded the GUI but also upgraded the Fritz 6 engine to the Fritz 7 engine. Chessbase corrected this not long after. This also happened with some other upgrades as well. It may have been with JUNIOR a year or two ago. So, many got upgraded engines for free. I only found this out after I had already purchased the Fritz 7 program. I tried installing the F7 upgrade into the F6 program just to see what would happen, since I am one who likes to experiment, and lo and behold, the Fritz 6 engine changed to the Fritz 7 engine. Brian
