And look what happened in that match. All of the anti-DF commentary eventually proved to be out of place. And we are seeing the same kind of commentary here. Kasparov embarassed Deep Junior today...so what. Let's see what unfolds in the remainder of the match. However, I don't recall Kasparov embarassing Deep Blue like this, which argues that Deep Junior is not as strong as Deep Blue. It would appear the 300 million nodes per second is still better than 3 million, regardless of the evaluation function. Roger
