Rolf, This wouldn't be the first time that "improving" a program lead to a loss. Marty Hirsch has experienced this too. We must remember that no chess program is really thinking but is merely following algorithms. Hopefully, the DJ team will tweak the algorithms to effect a win on the 28th.
