I'm happy to have been wrong, and I hope that the computer will be given its REAL challenge now, not just a pretend show. If Kasparov wins 4.5-1.5 I think that would be the most convincing result to hope for (and then of course, the program should prove it was indeed atleast as strong as Fritz etc.). That's what I would LIKE to see. Then we will know that human understanding is REALLY correct and that computer success is usually only due to human frailty. Then, I will again be more interested in chess, as well as computer chess. Doesn't everyone understand me? S.Taylor
