I also have this same impression. If I am not wrong, not so long time ago, Chessbase proposed Kasparov for a match against Fritz (6 or 7). Kasparov denied, and I believe he said something like, he will never play a computer opponent again. I also remember there were alot of rants and raves going on from chessbase side which were quite visible on the articles on their webpage. So, IMO it is quite possible that Shay's involvement played a crucial part for this match to take place. Whether Junior would win the WC or not probably has little importance. It's a good marketing stunt, as far as Junior team in concerned. Cheers, pavs
