Subject: A double blind tournament

Does anyone think it would be interesting to setup up a tornament of GMs and
programs where for each round, the player has no idea who the opponent is?

Programs would need some modification for book moves and pondered moves so that
it would not be obvious from the instant replies that a computer was on the
other side of the board.

Would the result tell us anything useful? It seems to me that it would be an
interesting scientific experiment. The difficulty might be finding GMs willing
to participate for the scientific curiosity value at the potential cost of some
damage to their fragile egos.
