I think that it may be interesting but it is not going to happen without a
sponsor.

I think that it is possible even without modification of the programs to do it
but there should be one program that generates an artificial delay if a player
play in a short time.
It means that if a player plays in less than x seconds the opponent get the move
only exactly after x seconds and in the time of the delay the times of both
sides remain the same.
