If I remember correctly, Crafty has the capability to adjust it's evaluation
parameters based upon whether it's opponent is on a user-maintainable list of
either GMs, computers, or "blockers" (known anti-computer specialists).

Also, I think xboard/winboard provides info to an engine about the opponent
whenever possible as to whether it is an engine or not.
