I did not find a clear win for white after 17...Rab8 and I suspect that black
has chances in engine-engine games.

Yes but we cannot ask kasparov to play again after 17...Rab8 so we only can find
if black has practical chances by 17...Rab8 by engine-engine games(I believe
that black still had practical chances after 17...Rab8 but I may be wrong).
