When playing people like Kasparov, that prepares his opennings to the deepest possible level, putting the book off for Junior -or after just half a dozen moves- cannot be so bad. The deepest you go against Kasparov playing a "theoretical" line in the openning, the nearest you approach some kind of abysm. Perhaps it is preferable to commit several tiny strategical imprecisions that commiting one serious and lethal mistake. Look game 1... My best Fernando
