I just received Shredder7 and Fritz8. I installed Fritz first, then Shredder. I have read that the GUI eats up memory (btw I have a W2K as an OS) and I saw that first hand. In addition the GUI is not as up to date as other messages on this forum have indicated. As others have noted I went to C:\Program Files\Chessbase\Chessprograms8\ and ran the IUpgrade.exe file. After saying upgrade now, I get the message C:\Program Files\Chessbase\Chessprograms8\GUI8.IUP not found. Sure enough it is not there or anywhere else on my hard drive (or the CD for that matter). The upgrade fails. One other thing I notice is that the GUI mentions Shredder and not Fritz when I bring it up. I tried re-installing Fritz but this did not change nor did the GUI8.IUP file appear. Anyone have any suggestions or similar problems getting the Fritz update. Bob
