Genius is weak only relative to the top commercial programs so if you play against another thing or if the opponent does not give machines hours to calculate you have good chances to win. My experience is that most of the correspondence players do not use programs for hours. Today I have 6 games as 6th board in the olimpiad. all of my games are in the opening stage but I already decided to start to give programs to analyze positions for hours in 2 of the games that my opponents sacrificed a pawn and I also started to collect information about games(I did not buy a special database but thanks to chessbase it is possible to search for games with a specific position and I can get games including a lot of correspondence games). I did not do it in the first moves but now I start to do it inspite of the fact that the position is still theory with a lot of games. Uri
