Someone had a dual 2800+ on today while we were watching the Kasparov match.

They were getting about 2.1M nps in a position where my dual 2.8 xeon was
getting
2.35M nps. IE for Crafty, the xeon seemed to be 10% faster. Whether that is
true for other chess programs is unknown, and whether it is true for all AMD
dual 2800+ machines is also unknown. I saw this NPS comparison for two three
identical positions, so the data is a bit limited as well, but it is data.
