Unfortunately whoever told you that is mistaken. The K7S5A can overclock but only VERY slightly. It has no cpu voltage control and no multiplier control. Only overclocking that is possible with that board is via FSB and you'll need to flash to a bios called "cheepo". Check this link out to grab the bios: http://forum.ocworkbench.com/ocwbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum&f=35 To overclock just raise your fsb. Your current cpu settings are 133fsb(266ddr) and 12.5x multiplier. If you're not familiar with this kind of stuff the cpu gets its clock by doing the fsb * the multiplier. So and AthlonXP 2000+ is 133.33~x12.5, 1666.666~MHz. Try pushing it to 140fsb, 143, etc in small increments. 12.5x145 will result in a cpu clock of 1812.5MHz for example. It won't be able to overclock much as you won't be able to raise the voltage to stabilize the chip at higher speeds. If you have experience with soldering and messing with component type stuff I can give you some instructions on modifying the board to use higher voltages. If you want to avoid all these problems and get an excellent overclock try for an Epox 8RDA (Nforce2) or an Epox 8K9A or 8K5A2. All 3 boards are excellent and MHz for MHz will provide a very substantial speed increase over your current board. The 8K3a on up series provies up to 2.2v to the CPU, 3.2v to the memory and will do 100-255(200-510DDR)MHz bus speeds and is available for $70 or less. Also the 8RDA and 8K9A can unlock Thoroughbred B chips without needing to do any superglue/ink tricks. Good luck.
