Yes and they are compliant to the very strict FCC regulation as far as I know in
terms of electromagnetic emissions.
So it seems to me a poor excuse, as a cellular phone is far more emitting than
comps since no metallic case is involved.

Moreover the display used is the match is a plasma model , not a c.r.t display.
