Is Kasparov a tougher opponent to defeat if you are on the other side of the board, trying to get your program to win a match against a Super GM? Or is Kramnik a tougher opponent to defeat? Of course there are stylistic differences between these two superstars and that is at the heart of my question. Is a tough-as-nails positional player like Kramnik tougher to defeat with a program than a tougher-than-nails attacking virtuoso like Kasparov, especially given that it seems more difficult to attack successfully against a top program than to slowly strangle it positionally.
