No.  I have a list, but all I use that for is to adjust how Crafty resigns and
offers
draws.  For a GM, it will resign quicker than usual, and offer draws quicker.
For
an IM, ditto, as compared to a normal player.

You _can_ find this out from the server, as players have their "titles" added to
their names (ie Kingway(IM) for an IM I chat with all the time)..

I gave Tim a patch to xboard years ago to pick up on a "computer" and tell the
engine it is playing a computer.  That is in xboard/winboard today (the
"computer"
command from xboard).
