He is almost certainly the strongest human chess player in the world.  If not
the strongest, definitely in the top three.

I don't know if he is the best person in the world to play against a computer,
but against a human nobody is better.

As far as "a bad joke" is concerned -- I am pretty sure that nobody who posts or
reads here can beat that same configuration.  Kasparov has won a game.
