I agree with you, I don't know what is up with that. Garry is just a real poor loser, but I believe that is common trade among the great sportsmen, they do not like to lose. It doesn't excuse bad manners of course. >Look, in 97 I was pro Kasparov because I found the second game till now strange. >But what he now told us about the 6th game and here about the first three games >is crap. 97 crap: If he were out why he still made such experiments in the >opening. 2003 crap: If the games were won then why Kasparov didn't win? The >whole question is nonsense of course because I know why he didn't win. Yeah, and that is the point. I think he was better in the first three at some point, but if Garry couldn't win a won position, that is not Juniors fault. I don't see how he can use that as an excuse, what kind of a player is he if he can't win from a won positione? Strange kind of argument, but I think that is what happened. I think the games so far has shown that the programs still have room for some improvement, but apparently even with all of their current weaknesses they are able to match the best. Quite a scary thought actually. > Because >he's paid for a promotion. But his argumentation is incredible. I can't quite understand your reasoning here, if this was show bizz, why is he putting down the program so much? Shouldn't he have said "this program is way better than Deeper Blue, go buy it, even I am having great trouble with it"? His attitude signals that he wants to crush this thing badly, doesn't seem fixed at all, in fact it open war. If Garry is that good an actor then someone needs to give the man an Oscar, he sure has me fooled. It is not that I haven't thought about it, boxers do it all the time in the press conferences, but I believe Garry is for real here. Consider that he lost to DB and have waited 6 years for resurrection, he is not going to blow this if he can do anything about it. His name in the history books is at stake here, his gigantic ego simply won't allow him to throw a match like this one, even for 1 mill. -S
