Not according to SMK. We got this statement from him:

"In Shredder6 and the versions before that there was indeed a problem with non
complete tablebases which lead to wrong play in certain endgames as you know. In
Shredder 7 I have fixed that and it should be possible to use any subset of
tablebases without introducing problems. So know you can use any collection of
tablebases you like. As I still believe that more tablebases help more I would
use all 4 endgame turbo CDs."
