Longer time control definitely favors the human, not the machine.  However, the
hardware boost for this match is enormous.

I think it is clear that you should use anticomputer strategy when playing a
machine.  Those that adopt such a style are more successful against them.

On the other hand, I think that if a PC can beat Kasparov, then the "Are
computers GM's?" debate is essentially over.  Most GM's won't be able to do it.
