I do not think that it is stronger than what most people think.
I tested Tscp against Movei and even old Movei could beat Tscp with time
disadvantage of 5:1 except blitz and that Movei is a weak program and lose
against Ruffian even at time control like 1200 Moves/1 hour(this means that
Ruffian use 3 seconds per move when Movei understand that it is 1 hour per
game).

I believe that Ruffian will beat Tscp even if you give it hardware that is 200
times slower.

I believe based on data that I know that when the time control is not blitz tscp
on fast hardware will lose against palm tiger inspite of the fact that the palm
is more than 100 times slower.
