If it's too much work to produce binaries for all platforms you intend to support, you could produce binaries for all of them after a major version but only for 'major platforms' after a minor version. But usually both a statically and a dynamically linked executable is nice. (there's always someone who has a problem with the dynamically linked one :) Also it would be nice if it would be compiled with conservative options. While I wouldn't mind if it's compiled with '-march=athlon-xp', other people might. :) Sargon
