Hi.

I think it is essentiel for you to drill on basic tactics so this program would
help.

For endings I would propose that you read basic endgames book instead and do the
drill with seting up positions from the book on a playingprogram.

For the opening, it is never wise to learn these with drilling. You have to
learn them the hard way. Here is a method that have been recommanded:
1. Play through commented and (many) uncommented games in the selected opening.
2. Analyse the opening by yourself, and try it out in real games. Here an
internet server is nice to use, but don't play to fast games. For blitz it's
recommanded to play with increment when learning openings.
3. Check up your findings with theorie books and do ev. corrections.
If you still love to drill your opening, I think Bookup (the light verion is
good enough for this) is a better drilling tool.

You can download a demo from the site to check out the program. I would suggest
that you also download the demos from Chess Assistant. The program's there that
deal with basic tactics are CT-art and Chess Tactics for beginners.
