It helps to keep the information from the previous moves, more information is **good** - never bad (unless you have bugs..). I know some people do backwards analysis exactly to get the hash full of good stuff. Besides clearing the hash is slow, it could take a second or two if it's big, the programs would be unable to play bullet for example :( Maybe you could make this an option though, again it couldn't hurt to have more options, but as a default thing it sucks. Aside from that and the fact that it shouldn't be called WB 4.3.0, I think it's good to see someone finally working on the project, I have some requests for you :) If you could make a window showing the PV's, preferrably a resizable window with a scrollbar it would be really cool. Also could you make a setting that would enable winboard to always print the debug file? I've never been good with those command switches, it's a mess IMO. I can think of a lot more than that, but I don't want to overburden you :) -S.
