Lots of possibilities come to mind: 1. Chessmaster 9000 - You can create customized personalities that want to sac pieces because it's Wednesday (practically). Unsound? Sure. Weakens the engine? Sure. Fun? Sure! 2. Chess Tiger 15 (or Gambit Tiger 2 which came with Chess Tiger 14): Set this baby to suicidal mode and watch the wood fly. 3. Junior 7 (soon to be Junior 8 no doubt). Very aggressive in its own right, but probably not as much as you might force one of the other two above to be. Junior 7 is very much into seeking compensation for its material sacrificed. 4. Rebel Century 4.0 (DOS only) - similarly to Chessmaster 9000 above you can set aggressiveness through lots of parameters. (but runs in DOS mode and does not work XP). There is a Rebel XP product (does not work with XP though -- watch out) but I had troubles with the display stuff there so I just ran Century 4.0. I've missed a bunch I'm sure. These are all commercial products. There are some free engines that allow some degree of this type of tweaking also. Crafty certainly comes to mind. Roy
