The SP database is what you call a "junkbase". If you're not impressed by a lot
of double games, low ranking online games from chess servers, and don't have the
time nor bandwith to download those collections yourself, you could buy it.

If you do have - visit a site like this http://www.uib.no/people/pfvaf/chesslib/
and download a wee bit smallerbut far better quality "junkbase"

Please realize that I use the name "junkbase" for any database comprised from a
large number of game collections without the fine tuning you'll get - and
**pay** for - from companies like ChessBase or Convekta. I don't mean it in a
derogatory way.

I can remember the SP domain was on sale, if **true** maybe that's an indicator
of the success of the sales....
