There are a couple of things to take into account, the Junior version playing
Kasparov is obviously playing a human and comparing Junior 7 to Junior 8 based
on comp v comp games only from Junior 7 is of course impossible (maybe Dann
Corbit can give a nice analogy here:)

Because a lot of changes goes into any new version of a program, you have no
idea if the "sacrifices" J7 makes are the same JX would make, therefore you
don't know if the "sacrifices" JX would make against computers (by sacrifices i
assume you are reffering to Juniors willingness to gain tempo, space and or
positional advantage for a pawn or an exchange) would reflect positive or
negative on JX's future rating.

Based on the play so far against Kasparov Junior X has a performance rating of
2847, that is one thing we can say without a doubt is a difference between J7
and JX, besides from the obvious fact that changes have been made since J7.
