These sacrifices don't work good against >computers as Junior7's rating shows! > >Jouni There are a couple of things to take into account, the Junior version playing Kasparov is obviously playing a human and comparing Junior 7 to Junior 8 based on comp v comp games only from Junior 7 is of course impossible (maybe Dann Corbit can give a nice analogy here:) Because a lot of changes goes into any new version of a program, you have no idea if the "sacrifices" J7 makes are the same JX would make, therefore you don't know if the "sacrifices" JX would make against computers (by sacrifices i assume you are reffering to Juniors willingness to gain tempo, space and or positional advantage for a pawn or an exchange) would reflect positive or negative on JX's future rating. Based on the play so far against Kasparov Junior X has a performance rating of 2847, that is one thing we can say without a doubt is a difference between J7 and JX, besides from the obvious fact that changes have been made since J7.
