I just wanted to add something to your variations:
17. Rae1 g6 18. Nd1 Qh5! 19. Rh1 Nxe3+ 20. Rxh5 Bg4+ 21. Kf2 Nxc2 22. Re5 Rxe5
And black seems OK. You are constantly overestimating the ease of whites play in
your analysis. Not that I'm saying that black is winning. But it is much harder
for white than you seem to think, judging from your posted variations.
