The fact alone that there is a standing expression for this kind of thing should show you that this is not something that happens with human-vs-comp-events *specifically*. In fact, I vaguely remember that at least once in the last few years they had a special rule in a supertournament (I think it was Linares, but I am not sure about this at all) that was meant to prevent the players from drawing without a fight. One could also note here that, just like game 6 of this match, grandmaster draws in general are known to happen in the last round(s) of an event more frequently than earlier on. Still, the fact that grandmaster draws happen in tournaments all the time does not seem to lead a great lot of spectators to the conclusion that all the time they are watching events that are staged, as a whole.
