To someone at Kasparov's level, it may become evident that a draw is the highly
likely outcome even before lesser lights, like us, see it.

Draw agreements avoid extended meaningless play. i.e. they serve a useful
purpose.  This should not be ignored.

On the other hand, maybe the sponsors might wish to pay for a demonstration of a
lengthy endgame or never-ending middlegame maneuvering.  That really seems
unlikely if the sponsor is the software producer.  Who wants to watch something
like that?  The games could go on forever!  Boring, boring, boring.
