Matches without winners! The two large and heavily doped Matches "Man vs. Machine" ended nearly like doublets with an undecided. I do not only see the reasons for it in the sporty match allegedly equivalent opponent. The principal reason for the last in each case 2 draw games lies in it justified that: A) it only Show Matches were not B) each side their face protect Wanted already with the match Kramnik vs. Deep Fritz were to be surveyed that after Kramnik the game 4 the event any longer all too seriously did not take, and particularly in the game 6 not on stops of the Advanced played, but rather for the gallery or at a beauty price. In order to only win each price, probably was not he therefore. Who believes nevertheless on the basis the games, that becomes lucky thereby - I anyhow am other opinion. The match Kasparov vs. Deep Junior showed parallels. The 2 last games were not expenditure-fought. Above all the last game ended despite (or perhaps because of?) a TV Live transmission in the most exciting phase with a draw. For the draw it was sufficient that Kasparov it offered, and as the draw was not accepted worked that bitter-serious face of Kasparov still well enough thereby the other party those only 2 moves before it the Draw still rejected, then swung nevertheless. What is one to say to it? The game affected me like a shining produced Show. In the first game (of only 6) the machine already groped into case of opening a Kasparovs and lost pitifully. Without trouble Kasparov led thus 1-0. Although there are many variants, and very many opening variants nearly infinitely in chess, Kasparov already found the needle in heap of hay in the first game and stung too! The first pass did already much pain, because the machine lost a Pawn. Now, in many games a side loses a Pawn sometime, and the victory is not yet by any means secured thereby. The machine committed thereafter still another further gross error, which is inferior to a Pawn loss in nothing, and which was then actually too much. With no chess program of the world leaves itself the 2. Blunder of the machine reproduce, also not with the previous version of the program! In the game 2 blunder the super+fast machine likewise, and as Kasparov he saw, played the blunder very fast a Draw-Variation from (with continuous chess for the machine) although he had still 30 min. on the clock remaining. According to own statement Kasparov ignored a chess requirement of the computer. 0-2 from view of the machine to the other party well to face would not anyhow have confessed, because is heavier 0-2 to catch up against a Kasparov than against Kramnik (Kasparov can’t losing;)! The third game ended with a drama! In, Kasparov continued to play total egual (continuous chess for Kasparov) and only 10 min. on the clock on victory (why not so already in the game 2 had where it 3x more time?) and the game did not cover with a move the anybody understood! Instead of 2.5-0.5 it stood for 1,5-1,5 suddenly! Which occurred thereafter in the remaining games, a doublet of the last 2 games of the Matches "Kramnik was psychologically seen vs. to Deep Fritz". So thus the Show Matches between humans and computer ends, if humans are a STAR. To mention is still that the opponents well know each other. Often thus GM Boris Alterman (the bookmaker of Deep junior) on KasparovChess (Kasparovs previous homepage) had to be seen as Commentator, equally it played Show simultaneous of plays there. Also the with programmer von Deep junior, Shay Bushinsky, was a coworker of KasparovChess. From where do I know? While the PC world championship asked I surprised, why the games will always transfer from Junior to KasparovChess although it in the 9-rundigem match more frequent more interesting plays gave. The answer to my question was those that Shay B. cooperates in KasparovChess and therefore from junior in any case would always transfer the plays. My result: Further so, but without me in the future. Original German Text and more, here: http://www.beepworld.de/members37/computerschach/ Eduard
