It happened at the end of a soccer season here about 20 years ago. One team
needed a point to avoid relegation, the other to win the championship. They
played out an uncompetitive draw.

In less than the time of a flash (metaphorically speaking), the rules were
changed so that at the end of a season, all games must be played at the same
time. This happens every season now.

Now that GK and DJ have made millions of people ANGRY with chess for cynically
depriving them of a competitive game, we must adopt the same rule for human v
computer games that we have for computer v computer games. The game cannot be
finished by mutual agreement without the consent of an arbiter.

It's not easy to get millions of people to give up hours of their time. When it
happens, they should be respected.

GK anf DJ have done our sport a GIGANTIC disservice. It's time we, the suckered
spectators, made a stand.
